Testimony
Love to the saints in all honesty, readiness to hear unjust criticism meekly, freedom from forcing your opinions on others who are not yet ready to receive them and judging rashly supposed failures in others, readiness to have fellowship with all that ‘love the Lord in sincerity’ is what the world, sunk in apostasy, needs to see in all Christians. “The Gospel is my only source of comfort and every sinner is as welcome as I. How pleasant that neither great sins nor great troubles can alter those consolations. Ever since God dealt savingly with my heart I have never taken comfort in the thought that my sins were small, but in the belief that the blood of Christ cleanseth from all sin.” (Death-bed confession of John Brown of Haddington)
