Forgive / Forgiveness

God is more willing to pardon than to punish. Mercy does more multiply in Him than sin in us. [ATFG]

If we are overtaken with any sin, we must remember to have recourse first to Christ’s mercy to pardon us, and then to the promise of his Spirit to govern us. [TBR]

Disband the army of your sins, and God will sound a retreat to his judgments. [TDOR]

We often find more comfort in the falls and failures of great saints who repented and were forgiven and restored, than in their deeds of heroism.
