Every night list five things that happened this day that you are grateful for. What it will begin to do is change your perspective. . . . If you learn to focus on what you have – you will have more; if you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never have enough.

Don’t grumble. If you don’t have what you want, just be thankful that you don’t get what you deserve!

When others spread harsh things about me, I have learned to be thankful for four things: First, if it is not true, thank God it is not. Second, if it is true, be thankful they do not know ALL my sins. Third, whatever sins of mine are known, God knows infinitely more and yet has forgiven me them all! Fourth, be thankful that they are the ones spreading the gossip and doing the devil’s work against me, and not I against them.
