Judgment (of Sinners)

[On the day of judgment] the matter, the manner, the motive of every act, good and bad will be tried. [ROOS.]

The world was once destroyed with water for the heat of lusts, and it is thought it will be again destroyed with fire for the coldness of love. [PRASD]

Your sins will not die with you as a prisoner’s other debts will; but they will go to judgment with you there to be your accusers; and they will go to hell with you there to be your tormentors. [ASGTH]

He that is your tempter now will one day be your tormentor. [ASGTH]

O how fearful would the cry be if God should take off the covering from the mouth of hell, and let the cry of the damned ascend in all its terror among the children of men! [ASGTH]

None are damned in the church but those who are determined to be, including those who persist in having hard thoughts of Christ. [TBR]

Does not your unbridled tongue, your indulgence of appetite, your wicked company, your neglect of prayer, of reading and hearing the Word, now witness against you? … If this be the case, you are to this day unregenerate, and must be changed or condemned. [ASGTH]

The greatest judgment God lays upon man in this life is to let him sin without control.  [TDOR]

O sinner, all the attributes of the infinite God are bound by an oath to punish you. [ASGTH]

Either sin must drown or the soul must burn. [TDOR]
